Tampa has seen explosive growth in the last decade and we give you five reasons people are loving living in Tampa!
Ever been to St. Pete Beach and watched the sunset or played in the waves at Coquina Beach down on Anna Maria Island? Or just sat on the deck at Bahama Breeze? Other parts of the country may have lakes and rivers, but nothing beats the warm sun and smell of the ocean. Not to mention that the Tampa Bay area is home to the world’s cutest marine animal, the manatee, and dolphin sightings happen regularly on Bayshore.
When you talk about Tampa cuisine, most people automatically think Bern’s, which is amazing, but for this reporter, the local restaurants like La Teresita and Kojak’s BBQ not to mention the Pub Sub, Mojo’s chicken, and the Cuban food selection are simply unmatched in the marketplace.

From about May to October, Tampa is definitely hot and it does rain. But the rain showers last a few minutes and dry up almost immediately and our proximity to the water keeps temperatures down. And even when you can’t, you don’t have to wear five layers of clothing to avoid freezing to death outside can attest to the fact that our mild winters and perfect springs more than make up for the hot summers.
Tampa is a championship sports town with the Stanley Cup winning Lightning and Super Bowl champs Tampa Bay Buccaneers. I grew up watching the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and immediately fell in love with the Tampa Bay Rays (despite growing up a Red Sox fan) and the Tampa Bay Lightning. While I could catch games on TV or in a sports bar in Philly, nothing beats going to the games and watching them with thousands of other Tampa Bay fans.
